Prints, framing and pricing
- What sizes are the prints available in?
- Four sizes: 5×5″ (13 × 13 cm) at €10, 8×10″ (20 × 25 cm) at €18, 12×16″ (30 × 40 cm) at €30 and 16×24″ (40 × 60 cm) at €50. Custom and panoramic sizes are possible on request.
- How much does framing cost?
- Framing adds €20 to any size. Frames are solid oak with a natural finish, museum-grade glass and an acid-free mount.
- What paper are the prints made on?
- Every print is made on 250gsm archival matte fine-art paper using pigment inks, and signed on the reverse by the photographer.
- Do you ship outside Ireland?
- Yes. Prints ship from Ireland to the United Kingdom, mainland Europe and the United States, as well as within Ireland. Postage is calculated at checkout based on size, framing and destination.
- Is postage included in the price?
- No. All prices exclude postage. The exact postage cost is shown at checkout before you pay, so there is nothing added afterwards.
- What currency are prices in?
- All prices are in euro (EUR). Cards issued outside the eurozone are charged the equivalent amount by your bank at their exchange rate.
- Do print sales support the animal sanctuary?
- Yes. Many of the animals photographed live at Forever Home Sanctuary, a small animal sanctuary, and a share of every print sale goes back into their care.
- Can I order a print in black and white?
- Yes, and it costs no extra. Order the print you want and mention black and white in the order notes or through the contact page — the conversion is done by hand for that image, not by an automatic filter.
- Can I commission a photograph of my own animal?
- Yes — commissions for dogs, horses and other animals are open. Get in touch through the contact page with what you have in mind and roughly where you are based.
Choosing, gifting and delivery
- What size print should I buy for above a sofa or bed?
- For a standard three-seat sofa or a double bed, a 16×24″ print centred above it works best, or a pair of 12×16″ prints hung side by side with a 5 cm gap. For a hallway, stairs or a gallery wall, mix 5×5″ and 8×10″ prints.
- Which prints work best as a gift?
- Dog and horse portraits are the most popular gifts, usually at 8×10″ framed. If you are buying for someone whose own animal you cannot photograph, a print of the same breed or a countryside scene from where they grew up tends to land well.
- How long does delivery take to the UK, Europe and the United States?
- Prints are made to order in Ireland. Allow 2–4 working days for printing, then roughly 2–3 days within Ireland, 3–5 days to the United Kingdom, 4–8 days to mainland Europe and 7–12 days to the United States.
- How are prints packaged for shipping?
- Unframed prints ship flat in a rigid board-backed envelope up to 8×10″, and in a heavy-duty tube for larger sizes. Framed prints ship in a double-walled box with corner protection and glass tape.
- Are the photographs limited edition?
- Prints are open edition but each one is signed on the reverse and printed individually, so no two are handled the same way. Limited-edition runs of a specific image can be arranged on request.
- Can I get a print in a custom or panoramic size?
- Yes. Many of the landscape images crop well to panoramic ratios, and custom sizes up to roughly 24×36″ are possible. Send the image title through the contact page and you will get a price back.
- What kind of frame do you use?
- Solid oak with a natural finish, an acid-free white mount and museum-grade glazing. It suits warm, neutral and dark interiors equally, which is why it is the only frame offered.
- Who is the photographer behind Hollzphotography?
- Amy, an Irish photographer based in County Wicklow. The name comes from Holly, her childhood Jack Russell. Many of the animals she photographs live at Forever Home Sanctuary, the small animal sanctuary she helps run.
